Cirrus Design Studio Ltd was born from Cirrus Web Design established in 2012 by Glen Smith & Derek Johnson.
The latter was a corporation between two companies - Online Web Services and Geosync Web Development. In 2019 we Cirrus welcomed Gary Smith to the team and with him came our marketing wing and the need to establish a strong company format for our clients - Cirrus Design Studio Ltd was born.
Our aim is to bring cost effective high quality website design, maintenance, advertising & marketing to businesses large or small. Although based in Dorset, we have an office in Devon, providing support for companies based in Hampshire, Somerset, Wiltshire, Cornwall and as far away as the Philippines and Hong Kong.
Glen’s love of writing and photography drew him into web design over 25 years ago. He has an extensive knowledge of all the Adobe Software packages and is always looking into new ways to deliver the message his clients require. Coming from a background of Corporate Marketing, he believes that all projects must deliver their prime objective. In this fast evolving world of the Internet of Things, we push the boundaries and find an answer, this has become the norm at Cirrus Design Studio.
We are a team and what we do is the result of our collective knowledge and talent, designing a web present that is Simple and Functional is what we shrive to achieve for every project we undertake.
Derek studied graphic design & illustration at Bournemouth & Poole College of Art and Design during the 90's and has been a self employed illustrator, fine artist, cartoonist and graphic designer. Late 1990 Derek joined Weymouth & Portland Borough Council and soon became involved in the production of one of the UK's first fully content managed local authority websites during the Implementation of Electronic Government national project. 2005 Derek left full time employment to start a web company in Norfolk. Derek's objective within Cirrus is the technical aspects of the companies output, ensuring strict compliance, quality and functionality is applied to all website based products.
With over 20 years experience in Experiential Marketing, Gary has vast experience in all aspects of Event and Exhibition Production and Management, he has managed and co-ordinated project teams, creatives and the production of almost every kind of media available.
Through extensive dealings with numerous adverting agencies and production houses, Gary has developed focussed marketing skills specifically around the development of Search Engine Marketing Campaigns (Google Ad Words), Email Marketing, Digital and Traditional Out of Home Campaigns, Print Campaigns, Branding and Corporate Identity Development.
